Council Member Dave Martin would like to make Kingwood residents aware that the northbound inside left turn lane on West Lake Houston Parkway at Northpark Drive will be closed Saturday, January 6. The lane is expected to reopen by 6:00 a.m. on Monday, January 8, weather permitting.
This lane closure is part of phase one of the Lake Houston Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ 10) intersection improvements at West Lake Houston Parkway and Northpark Drive, which are expected to be complete Spring 2018.
Intermittent delays are expected during construction. As a result, Council Member Martin has alerted the Houston Police Department's Kingwood Substation and has asked that officers help with traffic mitigation when possible. Additionally, traffic control measures will be in place on site including traffic barrels, traffic cones, directional signage and flagmen.
